4 Simple Ways to Elevate your Bathroom Reno

So you’re looking to update your bathroom but don’t want to get caught in the trap of it looking just like everyone else's home on Pinterest and Instagram? I have you covered on this one. Surprisingly sometimes it's the simplest of details that can take your renovation from ordinary to one of a kind.

Floating Vanities in bathrooms

Floating your vanity above the floor is the simplest way to make your bathrooms not only look bigger, but give it a more custom feel.

This doesn't have to be complicated if a simple cleat system is used. With the vanity propped up off the floor, and the tile laid out all the way under, it will give the illusion of more floor space.

This also gives the opportunity to add lighting underneath the cabinet which will provide that upscale hotel feel into your bathroom.

Adding Unexpected Curves or Shapes

We recently just built a beautiful customer vanity and head knocker piece for quite a small bathroom. However the curved shape of the pieces allows for easier flow throughout the room as well as giving an unexpected interest in the space. If you’re working with a custom cabinet builder they should be able to handle a curved panel request with ease!

Surprising pops of color

Adding a healthy dose of color into a bathroom can add a fun and exciting element. If you are new to color, try adding beautiful hand painted colorful tiles into your shower walls. This way the color will be exposed through the shower glass but not the focus of the room.

Exposed Cedar Wood

Imagine stepping into your bathroom and being transported into a beautiful sauna-like retreat. This can be easily achieved with running stained cedar wood across the ceiling, or even just running it ¼ of the way down the wall. The juxtaposition of the cool glass tile next to warm rich cedar will elevate your space to a spa like retreat.
